Our minds often wander and in order to lose belly fat after pregnancy, it takes training our minds by using affirmations to achieve our goal of melting that fat.
The most common place for me to put my affirmations are on my bathroom mirror. This way I see them every day and I say them every day. If I remember to repeat them during the day, I do so. Doing this as much as possible will train your mind faster to help you lost belly fat after pregnancy.
The affirmations I use daily are:
1. I choose to eat food that nourishes my body.
2. I am strong and healthy.
3. I choose to exercise everyday even when I am tired because I know how good it makes me feel.
4. I am worth it.
5. I love myself.
Some of these affirmations may seem silly, but for some reason many of us don't even love ourselves. Learning to love yourself and accept yourself because God made you the way your are for a reason will offer you a freedom you won't know how you lived without it!
These affirmations as well as others have helped me transform myself into who I am today. I offer myself patience and grace when I need it. I never make excuses. I am who I am and I am always striving for excellence, God made me that way. He made you that way too!
Go ahead, write these affirmations on a note card or sticky pad or create your own. I promise you will notice a difference in your way of thinking and belly fat in 30 days if you make a commitment to do these everyday.

I prepare a 30-day meal plan for my family in advance. I know what to shop for when I go to the store and having planned meals leaves less opportunity to veer off track. So, you want to lose belly fat after pregnancy and tone up all over? Great. You are in the right place. Exercise alone will not get you the results you are looking for. Although losing weight is about 90% mental, once you CHOOSE to lose weight then nutrition and exercise are tools to use to get YOU there.
I like bullet points or numbered lists to tell me what to do, so I will do that for you.
1. Make a 30-day calendar for the next month
Planning for the next month makes it easier to grocery shop and prepare for your meals. If you are on a budget, like most of us in this economy, this will also help you save money.
2. Create your meal plan each day for the next month
This may sound a bit overwhelming, but once you have your recipes you won't have to do all this research again. I got a lot of my recipes from joining Jillian Michaels' website. I also just tweaked old recipes and made them healthy and more nutritious by adding protein powder, flaxseed, etc.

This is where saving money comes into play. If you are like me, you'd shop and buy items that you never used and eventually threw them out. Well, if you shop for your meals then you will have food for those meals only and you won't end up throwing stuff out.

Not only are pre-packaged foods expensive, they have preservatives and unhealthy fats in them. I make my own bread, it's about $.50/loaf when I make it. It's whole wheat and I know every single ingredient that's in it! Again, it comes down to planning, planning, planning!

High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) leads to belly fat! If you want to lose belly fat after pregnancy, then I suggest you read those food labels and STOP eating foods with HFCS. As trygliceride enters our blood stream, it makes our cells resistant to insulin, making our body's fat burning and storage system even more sluggish.

1. Nursed AND Pumped to make extra milk to save for future use
When I was pregnant, I read that some women stopped producing milk after their baby was born. When I had my son, Asher, I made it a point to nurse and pump so I could have enough saved just in case I stopped producing milk. After a month, a had lost 30 pounds. I had gestational diabetes and I gained 50 pounds from my healthy weight pre-pregnancy.
2. Took the herb, Fenugreek, to help boost my milk production
This helped go from producing approximately 37oz./day to 47oz/day. I started losing major belly fat with this boost.
3. Nursed and pumped for 8 months, although 12 months is ideal
My body stopped producing milk around 8 months after pregnancy. I had enough saved to minimize the amount of formula I would have to use. My son drinks formula now and doing just fine with it.
In the end, this is what nursing did for me- My son got the best nutrition for him, I lost 30 pounds in the first month (I realize this is unrealistic for some), I continued to lose belly fat rapidly while nursing and pumping.
With nursing, exercising, eating right and visualization, I'm so close to having the toned belly I've always new was in there! So often we think we need to spend hours in the gym, take magic pills or go on very restrictive diets. I've been there. Thankfully, I've found a method for an after baby workout that put me in the best shape I've ever been in AND into my skinny jeans.
I wanted to slide into my skinny jeans soon after having my baby, BUT after doing this workout for 90 days, my skinny jeans were TOO LOOSE!! What? You may ask?
I've always had trouble getting rid of the last 10 pounds. Do you have that problem too? Isn't it FRUSTRATING to say the least? I believe the workout below will give you guidance on how to get your body back after your baby - OR - Get into the BEST shape you've EVER been in!
This is the workout I followed to get my amazing results. Start slowly, but STAY CONSISTENT to get into your skinny jeans.
Bobbie's Circuit Training After Baby Workout
Circuit #1
Do a 5-minute warm up doing jumping jacks, jump rope, walking, etc.
1. Do 15 push ups (beginners do these on the knees)
2. Do 15 jump lunges (start in a lunge position, jump in the air landing in the opposite leg lunge position)
3. Jump Rope 1-minute
4. Plank 1-minute
Repeat this 2 times
Circuit #2
1. Do 15 reverse squats with shoulder press (start in a squat position with weights by your ears, palms facing in. Stand up and push the weights in the air at the same time)
2. Do 15 step-ups on right leg on a 12-inch step or chair, switch legs and repeat
3. Jumping Jacks 1-minute
4. Do 20 Scissors (Ly on your back with your hands under your buttocks, your legs should be 3-inches from the ground, scissor your legs together, repeat)
repeat this 2 times
This ends up being about a 20-minute workout and it will help you slide into your skinny jeans in no time! Do this after baby workout 3-4 times per week and in 30 days you will notice a definite change.
